Gig in the nursery school

It was a good thing that we got paid for this performance, even though it wasn’t much. We were very enthusiastic about this gig. I remember I had a stomachache that started in the morning, but I didn’t want to cancel. We picked some good, groovy music and asked for a big drawing from the children at the nursery school. We hung that picture up around us. The drawing was nice and abstract. Honestly, I can’t tell what was in that drawing, but it had a lot of colors and curiosity.

This time, we danced as a duo. We arrived, warmed up, and the audience gathered in a big room. This event was a Christmas party for the workers of the nursery school, around thirty people.

I felt better by the time the performance started. I felt the adrenaline rushing through my veins and caught the dancing vibe. We felt the atmosphere and got a lot of inspiration from the drawing. We started with slower contemporary music. We synchronized with each other and focused on our harmony. When the faster music came, we forgot everything, entered a trance state, and danced our hearts out.

After the performance, we received heartwarming feedback. Our favorite feedback was that they felt we had arrived and were in the right place at the right time with our honest performance.
